Throughout the next days, the D.O. Monterrei will participate in two of the gastronomic events that will take place in the province of Ourense.
The first of them will be the XXVII Festa da Castaña e o Cogomelo de Riós, which will take place tomorrow Sunday, and in which the Regulatory Council will have its own stand where it will offer information on the name, soil and climate characteristics, grape varieties or peculiarities of whites and reds, among other issues. In addition, those who come to this promotional space can also taste the wines of the denomination.
Likewise, the red and white of Monterrei will be present in the popular food that is organized on the occasion of this event. The following wineries registered in the denomination will participate in this initiative: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Terrae Monterrei, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García.
The second event is the 23rd edition of the International Gastronomic Tourism Show Xantar, to be held from 09 to 13 November in Expourense.
The D.O. Monterrei will again take advantage of this gastronomic event to strengthen the brand image, as well as promote the product that is made in the territory. All with the aim of reaching the different sectors participating in this forum as Horeca channel, distribution, hospitality schools or specialized press, among others. The following wineries will participate in the Wine Tunnel initiative by the D.O. Monterrei: Ladairo, Gargalo, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández) y Trasdovento. Also, the wines of the D.O. Monterrei will be present pairing dishes made with quality products of Galicia in the showcookings of Xantar.
