On 26 and 27 September, the whites and reds of Monterrei will be protagonists of three activities aimed at the Horeca channel and hospitality schools in Zaragoza.
The first one will take place on the 26th, from 20 hours, in the tasting room Enoteca Khantaros. A place of reference in Aragon for wine tasting, which in 2021 won the award of the Gourmet Group as the best specialized wine shop in Spain. This activity will consist of a presentation, in which the partners/ as of said enoteca will be shown, the soil and climatic characteristics, type of wines and wine culture of Monterrei, among other issues; besides knowing the different elaborations through a wine tunnel of the denomination.
Already on the day of September 27, between 9 and 11 hours, the I.E.S. Miralbueno Hostelería y Turismo de Zaragoza will host the activity ‘The doors of the wine of Galicia: Monterrei’. It will be aimed at about thirty students/teachers of this center, and in it will be presented the peculiarities of this territory, and what differentiates it from other wine regions of the country. Already in the afternoon, the headquarters of the Association of Maîtres and Professionals of Sala de Aragón, will witness a Masterclass for the members of the same. This initiative will have a training session on the denomination, tasting of wines of Monterrei and harmony of them with different gastronomic elaborations of Aragon.
The wineries that will be part of these three promotional initiatives in Zaragoza are the following: Ladairo, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay, Terrae Monterrei, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Franco Basalo, Trasdovento, Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén).
“These are three complementary initiatives that will allow to show our product and territory, to different groups, from the educational field, to the hospitality and restaurant channels”, highlights the president of the entity, Jonatás Gago, “and thus reinforce the presence of our wines and wineries in Zaragoza, the fifth largest city in the country, with the aim of not only strengthening the current marketing channels, but also opening new ones”.
