The designation of origin Monterrei will be present, from 22 to 25 April at the 37th edition of the Gourmets Fair, International Fair of Food and Quality Drinks, held in Madrid.
On this occasion, the C.R.D.O. Monterrei will attend under the protection of the Diputación de Ourense and the INORDE, in a call created to promote Ourense as a quality enogastronomic destination, in addition to boosting agro-food products that generate added value in the territory, and thus facilitate new marketing channels for them.
In this joint space, the name of Monterrei will have its own area, in which they will show the historical and edaphoclimatic peculiarities of this wine territory; as well as types of wines or grape varieties. Those who come to the same can also know wines from the following wineries registered in the denomination: Trasdovento, Abeledos, Ladairo, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Crego e Monaguillo, Fragas do Lecer, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán) and Terras do Cigarrón.
On the other hand, the wines of the D.O. Monterrei will also be present in the following activities: Wine tasting with D.O. Monterrei (April 22, at 12:00), shoowcooking organized by the INORDE and Cociña Ourense (April 22, at 13:00), Suculento Tesoro Atlántico (23 April, at 4.30 pm) and masterclass with Galician Beef /Galician Cow-Galician Ox (24 April, at 13 pm).
“In the last edition, more than 116,200 national and international professionals attended, figures that are expected to be surpassed this year, as it is the first European fair for quality food and beverages,” acknowledges Jonatás Gago, president of the entity. “Therefore our participation will help us to open new promotion and marketing platforms for our wines, in addition to strengthening the Monterrei brand”, highlights.
