The city of Vigo has hosted the latest promotional initiative of the Denomination of Origin Monterrei, which have been present more than fifty professionals of the HORECA channel throughout the province.
Throughout the afternoon, the Circle of Entrepreneurs of Galicia has hosted a wide representation of the hospitality, distribution, sommelier or restaurant sector. Among them were members of the establishments Casa Marco, Alameda 10, A de Quique, Chinchorro, Lourido, Rueiro, Veloso or O Retiro da Costiña. As well as representatives of Distributions Galicor or Pablo Piñón, or media journalists such as Faro de Vigo, La Opinión de A Coruña, Onda Cero or Cepas y Vinos, among others.
Those attending this initiative have received information on the soil and climatic characteristics of this wine territory, its tradition and history, as well as grape varieties or wine typologies. They have also been able to know the peculiarities of the wines of the wineries that have been part of this promotional action: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García.
“It is not the first time that we have carried out such an action in the Olympic city, and we were clear that we should repeat it, since it is an attractive market for our product, for the large number of hotels and restaurants it has”, says the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva, “thus allowing our wineries to expand marketing channels for their products”.
