The city of Oviedo has witnessed the latest promotional activity of the Denomination of Origin Monterrei, in which more than seventy professionals have been present HORECA channel throughout the province.
Throughout four hours, the Hotel Gran España has hosted a wide representation of the catering, hospitality, sommelier or distribution sector, among others. Among them were representatives of Distribuciones Moutas, Deloya Gastronomía, Vinatería La Vía, Cafetería Cohibas, Vinatería KM0, Asociación de Empresarios de Asturias, Asociación Asturiana de Sumilleres y de los restaurantes Arbidel Ribadesella, Del Arco, La Carta de Cimadevilla, Gambrinus, Orígenes, El Jardín or Que te vaya bonito.
Those attending this initiative have received information on the soil and climatic characteristics of this wine territory, its tradition and history, as well as grape varieties or wine typologies. They have also been able to know the peculiarities of the wines of the 22 wineries that have been part of this promotional action: Trasdovento, Pazo das Tapias, Abeledos, Ladairo, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Castro de Lobarzán, Crego e Monaguillo, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Fragas do Lecer, Franco Basalo, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Manuel Vázquez Losada, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Quinta do Buble, Terrae Monterrei, Terras do Cigarrón and Triay Adegas de Oímbra.
“We wanted to return, one more year, to Asturias, one of the most relevant markets for our name”, says the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva, “There we are always welcome, and therefore we consider it essential to show our product to the HORECA channel and distribution sector of that province, and thus strengthen our brand image and help our wineries expand their channels commercialization”, concludes.
