The town of Ribadeo has witnessed the latest promotional activity of the Designation of Origin Monterrei, in which more than fifty professionals of the Horeca channel have been present.
Guaranteeing the required hygienic-sanitary measures, this activity has received a wide representation of the distribution sector, hospitality, sommeliers or catering. Among them were representatives of the Parador de Ribadeo, Restaurante A Lonxa, Vinoteca O Cortello, Hotel Faro Isla Pancha, DEO Distribuciones, Distribuidores C.M. Ribadeo or IES Foz, Gastroberni, among others.
Participants in this initiative have received information about the peculiarities of the soil and climate, its wine-growing tradition, as well as grape varieties or wine typologies. They have also been able to know the characteristics of the wines of the 21 wineries that have been part of this promotional action: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo) and Manuel Vázquez Losada.
“The Mariña Lucense is a mandatory stop for the D.O. Monterrei, and therefore, we wanted to return this year to present the product of our wineries, and bring it to our prescribers, and thus continue to demonstrate the quality of our whites and reds”, said C.R.D.O. Monterrei President Lara Da Silva.
