The C.R.D.O. Monterrei will be present at the new edition of the FIC Via XIV in Verín, which will take place from 08 to 17 September.
If last year from the entity held a tasting, this time the leading role for white and red D.O. Monterrei will be through a Wine Tunnel, scheduled for September 8, at 22 hours, in the Auditorium of Verín.
In this space, the technicians of the Regulatory Council will offer information on the wine territory, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or product typology; in addition, in it you can taste the wines that are made in Monterrei. To enter it, you will need to purchase a glass, for an amount of two euros. The wineries that will be present in this initiative are: Gargalo, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Terrae Monterrei, Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento and Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo).
“The participation in this event seeks to bring the wines of Monterrei not only to the closest consumers but also to all those attending this cultural event, with the aim of becoming prescribers of them”, highlights Jonatás Gago García, entity president.
