The D.O. Monterrei present at the FIC Via XIV of Verín

The wines of D.O. Monterrei will be part of a gourmet and multi-sensory experience that will take place within the framework of the FIC Via XIV de Verín.

On 31 August, wines, gastronomy and music will be combined in a joint activity organized by Begoña Vázquez (winner of the 2024 Gallego Chef Award), Miguel López (technical director of C.R.D.O. Monterrei) and José Manuel Salgado (professor at CMUS Verín). During the same will show the great versatility of white and red of Monterrei, as well as the gastronomic richness of the area, through a pairing with selected local products. All this accompanied by a small acoustic guitar concert.

This initiative will be held in the Municipal Auditorium of Verín and tickets to participate in it are available in Ataquilla. The C.R.D.O. Monterrei is one of the sponsors of the FIC Via XIV, and in recent years has already been present in the cycle of activities promoted by this festival, through the realization of a commented tasting or a Wine Tunnel, 15 registered wineries participated.

“Attendance at this event allows to create synergies with other entities, bring our wines to the attendees of this event and show the potential of the same with gastronomic products of the region”, recalls Jonatás Gago Garcia, president of the entity.
