The wines of Monterrei will be present at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris’, which will be held from 14 to 16 February in Paris.
Monterrei will be part of this joint promotion action carried out by the Asociación de Consejos Reguladores del Vino de Galicia y de las II.GG. Aguardientes y Licores Tradicionales de Galicia (ACRUAGA). This is the first time that indigenous Galician wines and liqueurs, protected under various quality seals, are promoted jointly abroad.
In the Monterrei area, the participants will be able to taste wines from nineteen wineries registered in the denomination: Ladairo, Crego e Monaguillo, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Franco Basalo, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Terras do Cigarrón, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Pazo das Tapias, Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Pazos del Rey, Fragas do Lecer, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Manuel Vázquez Losada and Triay Adegas of Oímbra.
In addition, they will receive information on the territory, wine history and tradition, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or types of wines, among other issues.
“This is an initiative aimed at strengthening our export data, taking advantage of this professional event to publicize the quality of Monterrei wines”, highlights the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “This is the first time we have participated in Vinexpo, and we hope to create synergies that will help to make known to the world our wine quality seal and the excellent wines that are made in our area,” he concludes.

Vinexpo, the star event of the Vinexposium group is the first major international wine meeting of the year. The wine and spirits sector, which has not met in Paris for almost two years, has received this year with great expectation Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris, which has 2,800 exhibitors from 32 countries for three days.
Spain occupies the third place behind France and Italy, with an increase in the participation of all the autonomies that participate in this great event dedicated to exports, in particular Castile and León, Galicia and Castile La Mancha.

A few months ago, the Asociación de Consejos Reguladores del Vino de Galicia y de las II.GG. Aguardientes y Licores Tradicionales de Galicia (ACRUAGA) was created to cover a collaboration agreement signed with IGAPE whose purpose is the international promotion of wines and distillates protected under the differentiated quality seals of Galicia.
An entity that will promote training actions and dissemination of the products covered by the quality seals of the six bodies integrated in the initiative: the regulatory councils of Monterrei, Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra, Ribeiro and Valdeorras -in the case of wines- and Aguardientes of Galicia. In addition to Vinexpo, members of Acruaga study to participate in the month of June in the London Wine Fair, the most relevant wine fair of all held in the United Kingdom.
