The C.R.D.O. Monterrei will be present, one more year, in the celebration of the Lazarus Fair that will take place this weekend in Verín.
The Regulatory Council will have its own space where it will offer information on the name, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or peculiarities of whites and reds, among other issues. In addition, those who come to this promotional space can also taste the wines of the denomination. On this occasion will be present up to 38 references of a total of 19 wineries in Monterrei. The wineries that are part of this initiative are: Trasdovento, Abeledos, Ladairo, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Crego e Monaguillo, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Gargalo, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén), Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Pazo de Valdeconde, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Pazos del Rey, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Franco Basalo (Estela do Val) and Manuel Vázquez Losada.
On the other hand, on Saturday will be held the activity “Flavors with sustainability. A sensory viaxe cos viños da D.O. Monterrei”, at 13 hours. It will be given by the technical director of the Regulatory Council, Miguel López, and will have the collaboration of Begoña Vázquez (O Regueiro da Cova). And already on Sunday, also having the collaboration of Begoña Vázquez, will be the turn for the initiative “Cata Doce de Monterrei”, at 12.30. In this case it will be carried out by Natalia González, secretary-technical of promotion of the Regulatory Council.
“The attendance to this fair allows us to bring the wines of the denomination to the nearest consumers, strengthen ties between the final public and the processing sector, in addition to showing the potentialities of our wines in the different scheduled enogastronomic activities”, says Jonatás Gago García, president of the entity.
