Between tomorrow and Thursday (07-09 June), the wines of the D.O. Monterrei will be present in the wine salon ’London Wine Fair’.
Monterrei will be part of this joint promotion action carried out by the Association of Regulatory Councils of Wine of Galicia and the II.GG. Traditional Spirits and Liquors of Galicia (ACRUAGA). This is the second time that, after Vinexpo’, Galician wines and liqueurs are promoted jointly abroad.
In the space of Monterrei, participants can taste wines from nineteen wineries registered in the denomination: Trasdovento, Pazo das Tapias, Abeledos, Ladairo, Pazo de Valdeconde, Pazos del Rey, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Fragas do Lecer, Franco Basalo, Gargalo, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Manuel Vázquez Losada, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Terrae Monterrei, Terras do Cigarrón and Triay Adegas de Oímbra.
In addition, they will receive information on the territory, wine history and tradition, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or wine typology, among other issues. The ACRUAGA stand will be located at the Olympia London (Grand Hall-Ground Level-F48).
“Participating in this initiative will allow us to strengthen our presence in the United Kingdom, one of our main markets abroad,” says the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “This is the first time that we have participated in London Wine Fair’, the most important wine event in that country, and we hope to create synergies that will help to make known to the world our seal of wine quality and the excellent wines that are made in our area,” he concludes.
