The C.R.D.O. Monterrei has ratified for the seventh consecutive year its status as a permanent collaborator of Expourense, which will allow it to be present in all promotional actions, fairs and events organized by the venue for this year. The signing of this agreement was in charge of the president of the Regulatory Council, Lara da Silva, and the managing director of the Expourense Foundation, Rogelio Martínez. The D.O. Monterrei is a collaborating entity of the Foundation since 2015. This implies the participation of Monterrei in the different promotional actions that Expourense carries out throughout the year, especially in Portugal, in favor of the different agreements of cross-border cooperation that the Foundation maintains with different entities of the Euroregion.
This special collaboration for 2022 also includes direct participation as an exhibitor in Xantar, International Exhibition of Gastronomic Tourism, which will take place between 9 and 13 November. This Regulatory Council will participate in the Wine Tunnel, an area in which visitors are presented with quality and native Galician varieties. In addition, the wines of Monterrei will pair the dishes made with quality products of Galicia, within the showcookings of Xantar, and will organize a tasting commented.
With the signing of the agreement, both organizations will also be able to develop commercial missions aimed at the promotion of wines and wine gastronomy in general, both in national territory and abroad.
Rogelio Martínez has expressed his satisfaction at the signing of the agreement, which demonstrates that how entities in the province of Ourense rely on the exhibition grounds to publicize their products and services. For her part, Lara da Silva said that “Expourense is a good showcase to enhance the brand image of the D.O. Monterrei, and publicize the wines that are made in the territory, both in the domestic and international markets. In addition, this agreement allows us to be present in those acts that the Foundation carries out outside the province and that are related to our sector, such as wine tourism”.
