The C.R.D.O. Monterrei and Expourense mark a decade of mutual cooperation and promotion. Both entities have ratified for the tenth consecutive year their status as partners, which allows the Regulatory Board of Monterrei to be present in all promotional actions, fairs and events organized by the complex for this year 2025. The signing of this agreement, which took place this morning at the headquarters of the Regulatory Board located in Verín, has been carried out by the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Manuel Vázquez Losada, and the managing director of the Expourense Foundation, Rogelio Martínez. The D.O. Monterrei has been a partner of the Foundation since 2015 and this involves the participation of Monterrei in the various promotional actions that Expourense carries out throughout the year, especially in Portugal, in favour of the various cross-border cooperation agreements which the Foundation maintains with different entities of the Euroregion.
The first of these promotional events will be the AGRO fair in Braga, which is celebrating its 57th edition from 3 to 6 April and in which Expourense always participates with its own stand thanks to the collaboration with Forum Braga. As part of the fairs scheduled for 2025, Monterrei will have its own stand at the 11th edition of Ourense Vinis Terrae, Wine and Quality Wines Show, which takes place on 2 and 3 June. And will also participate directly in Xantar, the 26th International Gastronomic Tourism Exhibition, which will take place between 20 and 23 November. This Regulatory Board will participate in the Wine Tunnel, an area where visitors are introduced to the quality and native varieties of Galicia. In addition, the wines of Monterrei will accompany dishes made with quality products from Galicia, within the showcookings of Xantar, and organize a commented tasting.
In addition to this direct presence, the promotion of Monterrei wines is present at all fairs and sporting events of the calendar of Expourense through the projection of corporate videos on the giant screen of the pavilion of the enclosure. With the signing of the agreement, both organizations will also be able to develop commercial missions aimed at promoting wines and enogastronomy in general, both nationally and abroad.
Rogelio Martínez has thanked the Regulatory Board for its loyalty as a permanent collaborator of Expourense and has recalled that the signing of this agreement demonstrates how the entities of the province of Ourense trust in the fairground to publicize their products and services in this public-sector cooperation spaceprivate, receiving more than 120,000 visits each year.
For his part, Manuel Vázquez has highlighted that Expourense is a good showcase to enhance the brand image of D.O. Monterrei, and make known the wines produced in the territory both in the national market and international.
