Terra de Godello, new winery certified under the seal of D.O. Monterrei

The headquarters of the entity has hosted a meeting of the Committee for the Certification of the Monterrei Designation of Origin, aimed at evaluating the certification of a new winery in the wine-growing territory.

Once the Committee has verified that it has passed all the necessary requirements, the winery Terra de Godello, S.L. (located in O Rosal -Oímbra-) goes to certify its wines under the typology: white Monterrei. This certification allows the winery to use the distinctive D.O.

With this incorporation are now 29 wineries registered and certified by the Monterrei Designation of Origin, which brings together the municipalities of Castrelo do Val, Monterrei, Oímbra, Riós, Verín and Vilardevós. The vineyards of this D.O. occupy a total of 798.10 hectares of territory in which 381 winegrowers work.
