Tomorrow 02 September begins the harvest campaign in the territory protected under the Designation of Origin Monterrei.
The first winery to start grape harvesting in 2024 will be Manuel Vázquez Losada located in the town of Castrelo do Val.
About the D.O. Monterrei
Monterrei is one of the five Galician wine appellations of origin. It covers the municipalities of Verín, Monterrei, Vilardevós, Riós, Oímbra and Castrelo do Val. It is made up of 28 wineries. The vineyards of this D.O occupy a total of 720 hectares of territory in which work 375 winegrowers.
