The Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Monterrei launches an advertising campaign to claim the quality of the Godello produced in this wine area. This campaign seeks to continue promoting the knowledge and consumption of the Godello de Monterrei, a wine increasingly in demand because it fits perfectly with the tastes of today’s consumer: fresh, delicate and elegant.
The team of the advertising agency that has realized creativity has wanted to collect in its strategy all the values that symbolizes D.O. Monterrei, as are the wine history of more than 2,000 years in the region, respect for the land and the prioritization of the quality of wines; but with a differentiated and modern creative approach, as befits one of the youngest denominations in Galicia.
The idea
Created by the creative studio Manu Cidre, the campaign started last June 14 with an action of intrigue that consisted of a paste of posters in the four Galician provinces. The poster consisted only of a crown and the slogan “Viva o rei!” , something that certainly aroused the curiosity of more than one, given that the piece had neither then nor signature of any brand. The mystery could be solved quickly by scanning the QR printed on the posters and accessing a website (oreidogodello.com) where the main audiovisual piece of the campaign was located.
In the spot, a young man from Monterrei lists all the benefits he could relate about the wines of his land but who finally decides not to do because, according to him, he is not here to tell us stories. In an agile and fun tone, he ends up concluding that it is not necessary to say anything about Godello de Monterrei, because “it is a wine that speaks for itself, a vineyard, and you only need to try it to realize that it is the Rei do Godello”.
The media campaign
Through the coordination of the creative studio Manu Cidre and the Galician media agency Ingenio Media, over the coming weeks different advertising actions will be developed both offline and online. In addition, the campaign also has a site (oreidogodello.com) where you can access all the content generated for the occasion. In this first phase, we will be able to see the campaign on television, in press, in cinema, in billboards and other outdoor formats strategically located throughout the Galician geography and also in the airports and train stations of the community.
The campaign also has a significant investment in digital media, especially in Meta and Youtube. And in the next phases will have other special actions and with the collaboration of different influencers and content generators that will help give visibility to the Godello de Monterrei.
