The latest promotional activity of the Designation of Origin Monterrei has brought together more than a hundred professionals from the distribution sector and Horeca channel in the province of Alicante.
This initiative, carried out within the framework of the ‘Vidivinos’ showroom, aimed to publicize the wines produced in the denomination, strengthen the brand image, promote direct marketing and loyalty in the sales chain. Representatives of restaurants such as Quique da Costa, Xato, Monastrell, Casa Pepa and La Finca approached the space of the D.O. Monterrei. As well as the distribution channel, among which were GMA, Disvalero, Guillén, Tabarca, Bellod, Bardisa, in addition to sommeliers or specialized press, among others.
It is the first time that the designation of origin Monterrei is part of the showroom ‘Vidivinos’, and in this promotional action have been present the wines of 18 wineries: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Terrae Monterrei, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo) and Manuel Vázquez Losada. In addition, the participation in ‘Vidivinos’ has also allowed attendees to know the soil and climate characteristics, grape varieties, wine typologies, culture and wine tradition of the denomination.
“We close our participation in Vidivinos, with a very good taste in the mouth. We have met with a high level of participation of hospitality professionals, the primary channel for the Monterrei product, “says the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “In addition, it has been pleasing for us to make the product known in the distribution and to assist, in Alicante, already established collaborators who market our product and futures, who will surely have been able to see why Monterrei is a safe bet”.
