The C.R.D.O. Monterrei has just carried out, in Madrid, a Masterclass aimed at purchasing managers, catering and hospitality sommeliers, and specialized online and offline press.
This activity has been divided into a training session on the territory (soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or product typology, among other issues), wine tasting made in Monterrei and harmony of them with different gastronomic elaborations made in the restaurant “Qú by Mario Sandoval” (in JW Marriott Hotel).
The initiative was attended by David Medina (national head of wine purchases at Carrefour España), Susana Blanco (national head of wine sales at Carrefour España), Ana Serrano (sommelier at Bodeboca), Santi Rivas (Colectivo Decantado), Pepe Formoso (President of Colectivo Empresas Turismo Costa da Morte), Custodio L. Zamarra (sommelier trainer of trainers), Jorge Llovet, Patricia Ezquerra and Arancha Padilla (owner, expansion director and financial director of Distrito Ramsés, respectively); Raquel Factor (responsible for sommelier courses at the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Hotel School), José María Ruiz (sommelier group El Pradal), Jesús Vila and Luis Alberto Gonzalez (sommeliers group Prodesco), Jorge Illithuer (sommelier group Ricardo Sanz), Lucas Richard (sommelier Hotel Four Season), Sofía Atienza and Alba Atienza (influencers of Lacrima Terrae), Diana Esteban (sommelier and community manager of Lavinia Madrid), Manuel Villanueva (general director of content of Mediaset), Paco del Castillo (trainer), José Valdearcos (Director of A&B at Paradores de Turismo de España), Eliseo González (Director of Wine Events at Real Casino de Madrid), Esteban Franco (sommelier at Restaurante Roostq Madrid), José Antonio Muñoz (director/editor of Traveling magazine), Alberto Martos (director/editor of Vivir El Vino) and Abel Valdenebro (photographer), among others.
The wineries participating in this activity have been: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García.
“This year we want to bet again on actions of these characteristics, since they allow us a direct and exclusive deal with the attendees to the same, to show them not only the singularities of our wine territory, but also the potential of Monterrei through the realization of harmonies with different gastronomic elaborations”, highlights the president of the C.R.D.O.
