A total of 84 wines from the D.O. Monterrei awarded in the Guide to Wines, Distillates and Wineries of Galicia 2021′

The headquarters of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei has hosted the presentation of the Guide of Wines, Wineries and Distillates of Galicia 2021′.

This event was attended by the president of the Regulatory Council, Lara Da Silva, and the two authors of the guide, Luis Paadín and Alejandro Paadín. In the same has been presented the content of the publication, in which the 27 wineries of Monterrei are referenced. On this occasion, a total of 84 wines have won medals, of which 13 have been Gran Oro, 56 Oro and 15 plata.

For the realization of this guide, more than 1,500 wines and distillates have been tasted (belonging to all the wineries and distilleries protected in the DO’s and PGI’s of wine of Galicia). It also includes historical medals, climatic and rainfall maps of the last 4 years in each DO, lithological and relief maps, and origin of the grape (based on three levels, Zone/Region – Town Hall / Parish and Plot). As well as, search for wines by R.E.N. (Register Number Bottler and Packer) with the names of the bottling cellars and a family tree of some of the main ancestral varieties of Galicia, among other issues.
