The C.R.D.O. Monterrei has just made, in Valencia, a Masterclass aimed at specialized press, sommeliers and owners of hotels and restaurants in the city.
This initiative has been formed by a training session on the territory (soil characteristics, climate, typology of product or grape varieties, among other issues), wine tasting made in Monterrei and harmony of them with different gastronomic elaborations. Vicente Rausell (owner Casa Vicent), Javier Cantos (sommelier and room manager of Rincón del Faro – Cullera), Salvador Manjón (Wine Week Director), Joaquin Schmidt (owner Restaurant J. The wineries participating in this activity have been: Ladairo, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Franco Basalo, Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo and Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén).
“The realization of this type of actions allows us to have an exclusive and direct treatment with the attendees, through a presentation, in which we show our peculiarities and characteristics, in addition to the realization of a gastronomic harmony that demonstrates the potential of Monterrei with different elaborations of cuisine”, says the president of the C.R.D.O.
