On Monday, July 17, the whites and reds of Monterrei will travel to Lugo to form part of a Wine Tunnel of the denomination.
The exhibition hall of the Pazo de San Marcos will host, between 17 and 21 hours, professionals in the hospitality and catering sector, distributors, sommeliers, mass media and students of hospitality schools who will come there to know the peculiarities of the wines of Monterrei (wine history, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or wine typologies, among others).
On this occasion the wineries that will be part of this initiative are: Ladairo, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay, Terrae Monterrei, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Franco Basalo, Trasdovento, Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén).
“This Tunnel continues the program of promotional initiatives of the D.O. Monterrei for this 2023”, highlights the president, Jonatás Gago García, “which has allowed us to bring our reds and whites to various cities in the country, such as Madrid or Santander”.
