On 19 June, the reds and whites of the Monterrei Designation of Origin will be part of the ‘Experiencia Verema’ initiative, which will take place in Santander.
This initiative is aimed at professionals HORECA channel (restoration, sommelier, distribution, importers, etc.), wine lovers and users of Verema. It will take place from 12 to 15 and from 17 to 21 hours, and will bring, once again, the wines of Monterrei to the Cantabrian public.
In it, visitors can know, in situ, the elaborations of the following wineries registered in the Regulatory Council: Ladairo, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay, Terrae Monterrei, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Franco Basalo, Trasdovento, Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García (Serra de Alén).. Besides knowing the characteristics of the territory (soil, climate and varieties), history and wine heritage, or the typology of wines, among other issues.
The event, to be held at the Hotel Real, is the first ‘Verema’ experience attended by the D.O. Monterrei in 2023.
