The C.R.D.O. Monterrei will be present again, one more edition, at the Lazarus Fair, which will take place this weekend in the municipal sports hall of Verín.
The entity will promote the realization of a Wine Tunnel, which will include references of 23 of the 28 wineries registered in the denomination. In this space, you can receive information about the wine territory, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties or product typology; as well as taste the whites and reds that are made in Monterrei.
The hours of operation of this tunnel will be from 10 to 14 and from 16 to 20 hours (in the case of Saturday the closing time will be extended until 21 hours), and will be attended by the technicians of the Regulatory Council. To enter it you will need to purchase a drink and a ticket to the Tunnel (two euros cup and ticket worth five euros). The wineries that will be present in this initiative are: Trasdovento, Pazo das Tapias, Abeledos, Ladairo, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Castro de Lobarzán, Crego e Monaguillo, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Fragas do Lecer, Franco Basalo, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Manuel Regueiro García, Manuel Vázquez Losada, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Quinta do Buble, Terrae Monterrei, Terras do Cigarrón and Triay Adegas de Oímbra.
On the other hand, on Sunday, there will be a ‘Wine Tasting Harmony of the D.O. Monterrei’, by the technical director of the Regulatory Council, Miguel López. It will be at 13 hours, also in the municipal pavilion, and will have the collaboration of Begoña Vázquez (Or Regueiro da Cova).
“The participation in this fair seeks to bring the wines of Monterrei to the nearest consumers, in order to remain prescribers of the same, and allows to strengthen the links between winemakers, winemakers and final consumers”, highlights Jonatás Gago García, entity president.
