The Denomination of Origin Monterrei has concluded its participation in the ‘Experience Verema Alicante’, with a huge success of public attendance to the space of the entity.
Throughout the day, more than a hundred attendees have visited the area of Monterrei to discover the typologies of wines, soil and climate characteristics, grape varieties, history and wine heritage; besides tasting the wines of the following wineries participating in the initiative: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Manuel Vázquez Losada and Manuel Regueiro García.
Among those attending the Monterrei space were representatives of restaurants restaurantes La cuina de Nico, Maillard, Monastrell, El Xato i Cristina Figueira, Mauro, El Racó d´Anna, Perro Negro, Nou Arcos, Alba, La Teja Azul or La Cava Aragonesa. As well as Vinum Enoteca, Grupo Gastronou, Yavino Club; distribution companies such as TTres lemures beben vino, De Jesús, Codile, Exclusivas Uriarte, Exclusivas Ramírez, and members of Asociación de Sumilleres de la provincia de Alicante, Escuela de Cata de Alicante o panel de cata de Verema, among others.
“This is our third promotional action with Verema this year,” said C.R.D.O. Monterrei President Lara Da Silva, “and after visiting Valencia and Santander, we decided to be present also in Alicante, since this room allows us to present our wines to a wide target, from the Horeca channel, to distribution, without forgetting the final consumer. In addition, our participation helps to strengthen the presence of Monterrei in the Alicante market, an emerging market among the latest analyses of the D.O. and which, therefore, opens new opportunities for selling product to participating wineries”.
