The Denomination of Origin Monterrei has ended its participation in Experiencia Verema Santander’, with a successful attendance of participants to the space of the same.
During the whole day, more than seventy people came to the area of Monterrei to discover the typologies of wines, soil and climate characteristics, grape varieties, history and wine heritage; in addition to tasting the reds and whites of the following wineries of the denomination: Ladairo, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Terrae Monterrei (Adegas Terrae), Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Pazo de Valdeconde, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo) and Manuel Vázquez Losada.
Among those who visited the Monterrei space were members of Ola Martin Berasategui, Cenador de Amós, La Bicicleta,Vides Caliza, Vermutería de Vicio, Las Carolinas Garden, Paradores de Turismo, Saborea, La Galerna, Taykohotels, Tresenes, Sukara, Gómez Fusión, El Desván, Vinoteca El Local, El Stop, Balneario Puente Viejo, La Torre by Marañón or Ánfora, among others.
“This is the second event in Verema in which the denomination participates in 2022, and it is an excellent opportunity to teach the product ‘Monterrei’ to both the final consumer and the distribution sector, sommelier, restaurant or hospitality”, says the president of the Regulatory Council, Lara Da Silva. “In addition Santander is one of the cities marked in our promotional activities calendar, as it is one of our strategic markets in the north of the country, and therefore we are pleased that 19 wineries of the denomination have joined this initiative”.
