The last promotional activity of the D.O. Monterrei, held in Pontevedra, has counted more than eighty participants coming from all the province.
Over a period of four hours, and in addition to the hygienic and sanitary measures required, members of the catering and hospitality sector, sommeliers or distributors, among others, have become aware of the peculiarities of this Galician wine denomination. Among those attending the Wine Tunnel of the D.O. Monterrei in Pontevedra were representatives of the restaurants Culler de Pau, Eirado da Leña, Loaira, Casa Sada, Barbol; as well as the wine bars La Sala del Sumiller, A Viñoteca do Mercado or distributor Disvegal. Representatives of Grupo Norte, Viño Activo, Mais que Experiencias, and teachers from the hospitality schools Carlos Oroza and Ramón Cabanillas have also approached this initiative.
Likewise, the participants in this initiative of the D.O. Monterrei have been able to taste the reds and whites of the following wineries: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Crego e Monaguillo, Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Abeledos, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo) and Manuel Vázquez Losada.
This initiative concludes the cycle of promotional actions planned for 2021, which has allowed Monterrei wines to reach cities such as Madrid, Alicante, Santander, San Sebastián, Santiago de Compostela or A Coruña, among others. “Pontevedra is always one of the cities set in our promotional calendar, and in this 2021 we also wanted to return to it, as it has always welcomed us with open arms,” says the president of C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva Rodríguez.
