The president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva, and the manager of Inorde, Emma González, visited the experimental and research farm (vineyard) that the Provincial Council of Ourense has in the municipality of Monterrei and in which works the Center for Agricultural Development of Inorde. During the same, they have known in situ the actions that are currently being developed in this experimental vineyard, located in a privileged environment as it is at the foot of the Castle of Monterrei.
During the visit, the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei proposed to the manager of Inorde the conversion of this space into a wine center and the design of a project “respectful of the environment and the environment, that it be a reference wine tourism, educational and, of course, that it serve as support to the Regulatory Council itself,” said Lara da Silva.
For her part, the manager of Inorde has indicated that this project could be “strategic” because it addresses “the criteria that Europe is marking us as sustainability can be” and that also, complete “perfectly that bet that Inorde is making to promote circularity, since it would begin in the cultivation of the vine and would end in the enotourism dynamization of the destination”.
The basis of this project is to go much further, contemplating in it the interaction with the Association Ruta del Viño Monterrei “in which the product is shown in an integral way, that is, from the vine to the glass, also counting on informative elements of the wine tradition and history in Monterrei”; said Lara Da Silva, who thanked the manager of the Inorde for her attention and willingness to collaborate in the revitalization of the region of Monterrei.
