Wines from the D.O. Monterrei travel to Lugo

On Tuesday 27 April, the reds and whites of Monterrei will be the protagonists of a Wine Tunnel of the denomination to be held in Lugo.

The chapel of Santa María in this city will host the third promotional action of the denomination in this year 2021, and in which will participate about thirty wines from 18 wineries inscribed in the same. During two shifts, (one from 11 to 14 hours, and another between 18 and 21 hours) in order to comply with all the required hygienic-sanitary measures, this activity will be developed for sommeliers, HORECA channel and hospitality schools, among others.

During the event, attendees will be able to discover the history and winemaking tradition of Monterrei, its edaphoclimatic peculiarities, grape varieties or wine typologies. In addition to knowing the whites and reds that are made in the denomination, by the 18 wineries participating in this promotional initiative: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Pazo das Tapias, Gargalo, Castro de Lobarzán, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Crego e Monaguillo, Terras do Cigarrón, Triay Adegas de Oímbra, Terrae Monterrei, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer,  Manuel Guerra Justo (Vía Arxéntea), Tabú, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento,  Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo) and Manuel Vázquez Losada.
