The Designation of Origin Monterrei has concluded its participation in the Verema Barcelona Experience with a successful public attendance to the space of the same.
Throughout the day, more than a hundred attendees came to the area of Monterrei to discover the typologies of wines, soil and climatic characteristics, grape varieties, history and winemaking heritage; besides being able to taste the red and white wines of the following wineries of the denomination: Ladairo, Pazos del Rey, Gargalo, José Antonio Da Silva Pereira (Vinos Lara), Quinta do Buble, Terras do Cigarrón, Pazo Blanco Núñez (Tapias Mariñán), Fragas do Lecer, Manuel Guerra Justo, Tabú, Franco Basalo, Alba Al-Bar (Daniel Fernández), Trasdovento, José Luis Gómez Ibáñez (Valderello), Crego e Monaguillo, Fausto Rivero Pardo (Quinta Soutullo), Pazo de Valdeconde, Castro de Lobarzán, Manuel Vázquez Losada, Terrae Monterrei (Adegas Terrae) and Triay Adegas de Oímbra.
Among those attending the Monterrei space were representatives of the hospitality and catering sector, sommeliers, teachers and students of hospitality schools, as well as members of Verema.
This is the first time that the D.O. Monterrei is part of the Verema Experiences, “and in which we hope to continue participating in a not too distant future,” says the president of the C.R.D.O. Monterrei, Lara Da Silva. “The realization and participation in events of these characteristics constitutes a key showcase to show our wines to a wide spectrum of public, from the hospitality and catering sector, distribution, import…. to the final consumer, “said Da Silva, “so we always try to develop actions of these characteristics that allow us to talk about you with our audience”.
